Landscaping, excavating, a waterfall... going on at the Village!

Troy Winters of Mustard Seed Ministries came to New Orleans on February 2nd. He and friends were here for about 10 days, doing what they do best. The exterior of the Village will never be the same. He brought with him Dean's Excavating and Great Lakes Landscaping and Supply, from Michigan. They brought their equipment, trees, plants, and most of all spirit, bringing hope to the outside of the building and to the Village.

Yep what a wonderful job. That was my Cousin Dean and his wife Cristy that did the landscaping. Wish I would have had more time off work i would have helped out.

from feburary 16-25 i was down there, working at the center, and in that short time we got alot done. there were only about 25-30 of us we did everything from painting to putting up storage shelves to store Ward Macs antiques, on the side of the center our group wrote our schoold name High School for International Business and Finance along with the other schools name Academey of the Holy Angel, we left our mark in new orleans just like new orleans left its mark in my heart along with everyone elses heart. being from new york going and doing something like that was great because in new york no one wants to help they just shoot you a dirty look, shoot you the bird and just shoot you and before i went down to NOLA i heard of southern hospitality and it sounds good but when you expereince it its great and thats what i felt from everyone in the neighborhood that came to check out the place and say high it was a great place and a great experience and hopefully next feburary we can go down there again and finish what we started and to joshua yout cousin and his wife did a great job on that waterfall, superb
